For many years Nairobi and its environs have always watched as the MTC buses pass them by - heading to Coast, Western and Mt. Kenya routes.

However this year three busloads of members of Men for Gender Equality Now! visited different centres in Nairobi to create awareness about Gender-based Violence on 30th November 2009., to kick off the Men's Travelling Conference 2009. After that the buses split up and headed for different regions  for a week.

This Men's Travelling Conference (MTC) is an innovative strategy to mobilize men to get involved in addressing Gender Equality and combating Gender Based Violence.

It is a show case of MEGEN programme but more importantly creates a platform for men to come forward to say NO to Violence and take a stand on Gender Equality.
